Remove plastic spacer from front of slide
Install slide and ensure breech face smoothly clears the entire ejector
If it slide collides/stops on ejector it is not compatible. Walther has many revisions. CHECK BEFORE ORDERING!

Our Long Stroke PDP guide rod system will take your steel frame PDP 4.5" to the next level. We went back to the drawing board and designed a new system that increases the slide stroke of the PDP to attenuate the recoil over a longer distance. By eliminating the plastic spacer, the slide can travel further rearward which allows it more distance to slow and softens the impulse as the slide hits its rearward stop. The rod is 5/16" diameter and uses a custom ISMI 14lb spring. We swiss turn the rod from stainless steel and the front cap/bushing from brass for added lubricity. Captured design drops right in the gun. Adding over 40 grams of unsprung mass to the gun helps further reduce muzzle rise.
