Help

Contact eGun

The new eGun interface at a glance - the most important features briefly explained.

Gunni The assistant answers questions about using the new eGun interface - for example, where a feature from the classic view can now be found. Ask Gunni

In the Gunni window, “Hide the Gunni button” at the top next to the close cross hides the round button; you can show it again under “My eGun → Settings → Help assistant”. The info icon opens the notes about the assistant, a link to the help pages and “Clear history”. On a computer, the arrow button enlarges the window; “Suggestions” brings the sample questions back.

In lists, the round Gunni button moves aside when you scroll down and comes back when you scroll up – so it never covers prices while you browse. On phones, the button does not appear on item pages, when listing, editing or relisting, or in messages and contact forms – there you reach Gunni via the help pages.

Gunni button hidden? You can switch it back on in the settings.

Compact list

The view switcher above the lists (search, categories, watch list) toggles between card and compact display – compact shrinks the rows for maximum overview. Your device remembers the setting.

On a computer there is a table view next to cards and compact: one row per item with photo, title and seller, price, bids and time left – the column headers price and time left sort. The choice is remembered on the device.

Appearance

The "Appearance" switch in the page footer and in your account settings sets eGun to light, dark or system – "System" follows your device setting and is the default. Your device remembers the choice.

Watchlist

The remaining time in the lists runs live: above one hour in hours and minutes, below that in minutes and in the last five minutes to the second; it only turns red in the last ten minutes, “ended” at the end – on eGun server time. On the watchlist, items ending within the next five minutes also have their price and bid count updated continuously.

The watchlist shows running items first. The "Ended" chip lists the expired ones, and "Remove ended" clears them with one click. The watchlist has its own search field (title, article number, eGun number and your note); removed items disappear in place without the page jumping to the top.

General information from the seller (terms & conditions)

This text appears on your item pages under “General information from the seller” – for example notes on shipping, payment or warranty; business sellers put their terms & conditions here. It is stored directly in our system; the classic view shows the same version.

Install as an app

You can install eGun like an app on your home screen: in Chrome/Android via "Install", on iPhone/iPad via Share → "Add to Home Screen". As an installed app, eGun starts faster and can receive push notifications.

When installing, Android asks whether an app from an unknown source may be installed, and warns you. For web apps that is the normal route: the package is built by your own browser, eGun comes straight from egun.de and not from an app store. You can also simply use eGun in the browser – without installing you only miss the home-screen entry and push notifications.

In the installed app on iPhone and iPad there is no Safari toolbar. That is why eGun shows a “Back” button at the bottom left there as soon as there is a previous page.

eGun on the computer

On large screens eGun automatically switches to a desktop view: navigation at the top, lists as clear tables and the item page in two columns. Features and account are the same – you can switch between phone and computer at any time.

After scrolling a long way, an arrow appears at the bottom right that takes you back to the top.

If you prefer the previous eGun website, you can reach it via "Classic view" in the footer.

If you see the desktop view on a phone, "Desktop site" is switched on in your browser. A notice below the header then offers "Switch to mobile view"; "Desktop view" in the footer takes you back.

Classic view

Prefer the previous website? No problem – the button below, the menu, the footer of every page and, on a computer, the chip to the right of the rubric buttons on the home page switch you permanently to the classic view. You can return to the new view at any time via “Zur neuen Ansicht wechseln” on the classic home page or “Neue Ansicht” in its header.

Feedback

Your opinion of the new view matters to us: under “My eGun → Feedback” you rate the new view and tell us what you like and what is missing – no login needed. We read every response.

Navigation

On the phone the bar at the bottom, on the computer the navigation at the top leads to the main areas: Browse, Search, Sell, Watch list and „My eGun“. „My eGun“ is your personal area with all functions - a red number there shows when price proposals or revocation requests are waiting for your reply.

On an iPhone “Back to the list” appears at the bottom left as soon as you have opened an item from a result list – one tap takes you back to the same place in the list. Scrolling down tucks the button away, scrolling up brings it back.

Back to search (since 30 September 2026): When you open an item from a list of results, the item page shows “‹ Back to search” at the top (for categories and sections “‹ Back to …”). The link takes you back to the same place in the list – even after detours via similar items. With the keyboard, the first Tab stop is “Skip to content”, and the “Browse” menu opens with Enter or the down arrow. On the phone, “Help” and “Contact” are now in the menu (☰) too.

Search and browse

The search finds items by term or item ID. In the advanced search you can filter by price, region and permit requirement, for example permit-free items only. Saved searches notify you about new matches, and on every seller page you can search that seller's items directly. On a computer the search box sits at the top of the page next to "My eGun"; on a phone, "Search" in the bottom bar takes you there.

A search term is not required: filters alone are enough – and under “Advanced search” you can select several categories at once.

Under “Condition”, the search groups the choices of the sell form: “New” finds only new goods, “New & like new” new and like-new ones, “Used” everything from “Like new” to “Heavy signs of use”, “Defective” only defective ones. Listings marked “See description” only appear with “any”.

Since 21 September 2026 the advanced search also filters by seller type, below “Condition”: all sellers, commercial only or private only. The choice can be kept as a saved search like any other filter.

The advanced search can also search ended items – for example to compare realised prices.

Saved searches remember when you last opened them: the chip "New since …" above the results shows only items listed since then, and under "Saved searches" the link "Only new since …" takes you straight there. Items you have already opened appear in the lists with a blue title – your device remembers the items you opened most recently. Under "Saved searches" each saved search shows which options it was created with – for example "whole words only", "buy-now items only" or the sort order.

Result lists are divided into pages: below the list you turn pages with “Back” and “Next”, on a computer also via the page numbers, on a phone via the page selector “Page 4 of 50”. A line above the list always shows where you are, and “Per page 25 · 50 · 100” sets how many items a page shows – the choice is remembered. Every page has its own address: the browser's back button and bookmarks lead exactly there.

New in the advanced search: item condition (new, used, defective) and a radius search (full postcode plus radius, e.g. + 50 km). All filters can be saved as a saved search.

Since 9 September 2026 the radius search measures the distance per item (the item's postcode and place, or the seller's account postcode as a fallback), shows it as “approx. 12 km” and offers the “Distance” sort. Besides German ones, Austrian, Swiss, Dutch, Polish, Czech and Danish postcodes work too – with a country prefix, e.g. A-4020 or CH-8000. Also covered: Luxembourg, France, Latvia, Spain, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Estonia, Slovakia and Italy (e.g. L-1855, F-75001, LV-1010, E-28001, SI-1000, BG-1000, EE-10111, SK-010 01, I-20121).

Sorting on the phone (since 10 September 2026): choose the sort order of the results in the dropdown next to the result count – time left, price, newest and A–Z each with a direction, and distance in a radius search. On the desktop the sort chips remain as before.

Item type, New and EWB in the results bar (since 10 September 2026): Above the results of the search, the categories, the shelves and the seller pages you choose the item type (all, auctions, buy now), the “New” time window and the EWB requirement (any, with EWB, without EWB, permit-free) in three drop-downs, freely combinable. “New” shows only items listed in the last 24 hours, 3 days or 7 days (since 19 September 2026; before there was only “New (24 h)”) – or, when signed in, only items since your last visit to this list (“since my last visit”; the option names date and time, a break of three hours counts as a new visit). The “New items” shelf starts at 24 hours and can be widened the same way. A choice that takes effect is marked blue, and items that arrived since your last visit carry the “New” tag in the list.

Since 24 September 2026, EWB and MES no longer appear in front of the title in the lists: on a phone as the first mark in the line below the title, on a computer in a column of their own before the price.

On the “Last minute” shelf every listing ends within 24 hours and runs for at least three days. That is why “last 24 hours” is not offered there, and “since my last visit” only when your last visit was more than two days ago.

Postcode and place data for the radius search: GeoNames.org, licensed CC BY 4.0. geonames.org

You can also narrow the search to a category and the seller's country – and every category page has its own search box that searches only within that category. Next to that field, “Search everywhere” and “Advanced search” lead to the search across all categories (since 19 September 2026); a typed item ID opens the item directly, as in the header search field, below which “Advanced search” also appears on a computer. Postcode geodata: GeoNames.org, licence CC BY 4.0.

Power syntax in the search box: multiple terms must all match (switchable to OR). Quotation marks find an "exact phrase", a minus sign excludes (e.g. 338 -Winchester), and partial words match too – "12/" finds 12/70 and 12/76. "Whole words only" and searching item descriptions can be enabled in the advanced search.

Results are sorted by relevance: items whose title contains the search term as a whole word come first, partial-word hits follow by time left. "Whole words only" in the advanced search leaves partial words out entirely – "Büchsflinte" then no longer finds "Bockbüchsflinte". Numbers such as calibres are always matched as whole numbers only: ".30" matches ".30-06" but not ".308". A number ending in "-", "x" or "/" counts as a start: "2-" finds scopes such as "2-7x32" or "2-10x42", but not "12-24x50".

Search with spelling variants (since 30 September 2026): The search also finds a word in other spellings – with or without a hyphen or space (“K98”, “K-98”, “K 98”), with an umlaut or written out (“Büchse”, “Buechse”, “ß” or “ss”), and in the singular when you search in the plural (“Zielfernrohre” also finds “Zielfernrohr”). If a search finds little or nothing, eGun suggests another spelling (“Did you mean …?”) and shows how many items there would be without individual search words. The suggestions below the search field only contain terms for which there are offers right now.

Relevance (since 30 September 2026): With “Relevance”, the items you are looking for come before accessories and replicas – for “Bergara B14” the rifles before magazines, for “Revolver” the revolvers before grips, CO₂ and blank-firing models, unless you search for those explicitly. Above the results, one click on a category narrows down a broad search.

Search since 1 October 2026: numbers are found with a point or a comma (“2.8-20x56” finds “2,8-20x56”), calibres with or without the point (“.308 Win” also finds “308 Win” and “308Win”). Common brand abbreviations work in any spelling – “S&W”, “Smith & Wesson” and “Smith and Wesson”, “HK”, “H&K” and “Heckler & Koch”, “Kar98k”, “Karabiner 98k” and “K98”, “ATEC” and “A-TEC”, “.40SW” and “.40 S&W”. Brand and model may be written as one word (“WaltherP99”, “SigSauer”), quotation marks around single words do no harm, and a minus between two numbers counts as a range (“3,5 -10x50”), not as an exclusion. With “Relevance”, single parts such as springs, pins, exchange barrels or holsters come after the guns themselves, and deco pieces and dummies after real ones. “Did you mean …?” also recognises swapped letters (“Glcok”) and suggests the more common spelling – even for a search with hits when most listings are spelled differently (“Matritzen”, “Matrizen”). If a search finds nothing, eGun names the words without which there would be hits, several together if necessary. The search in item descriptions now also finds words with umlauts. If sellers mostly write a term as separate words, the search also finds it written as one word (“Picatinnyschiene” finds “Picatinny-Schiene” and “Picatinny Schiene”). A dash counts like a hyphen (“2,3–18x56” = “2,3-18x56”), and upper and lower case make no difference with umlauts either (“ANSCHÜTZ” = “Anschütz”) – neither for the order nor with “whole words only”.

Active filters (since 30 September 2026): Every filter you set appears as a chip above the results, for example “Price: 100 € – 500 €”; a click on the × removes only that filter, “Remove all filters” removes all of them. On the phone, “Filter” next to the number of results opens all filters on one page – category, price and condition first, with “Apply filters” always at the bottom. If “Price from” is higher than “Price to”, eGun searches the range in between.

Category pages (since 30 September 2026): Under “Filter” you can also narrow down a category by price, region, condition, seller type and shipping. “+ Add category” opens the search with this category so that you can add more – for example pistols and revolvers together. In a subcategory, the neighbouring categories appear below the heading; for example, “Repetierbüchsen” leads straight to “Selbstladebüchsen”.

Prices and remaining times (since 30 September 2026): On the phone too, every price in the lists says what it is – starting price, current bid or Buy now. Remaining times are shown with units everywhere, for example “2 days, 3 hrs, 12 min”, and “4:05 min” in the last five minutes.

The blue buttons under the category strip on the home page lead straight to Lastminute, New items, In demand, Specials, Top auctions and All items – on a computer the same entries are also in the "Browse" menu. The "Lastminute" row shows auctions ending soon; signed-in members with a German postcode also see "Near you" – items within 100 km, handy for pickup and hand-over in person. The dealer directory in the footer lists all commercial sellers with running listings.

Item descriptions are shown in your language as soon as an automatic translation is available – the original is always reachable via "Show original".

The suggestions under the search box show frequent search terms of other members, matching categories and your last searches. The further filters of the advanced search stay collapsed until you use one of them. Below the filters there is “Apply filters” – the same button as “Search”, so you do not have to scroll back up after setting them.

Wanted ads: if nobody is offering what you are looking for, you can post a wanted ad. You reach the board through the “Wanted ads” chip below the shelves, on a computer through the “Browse” menu, also from the footer of every page and straight from a search without hits – the search term is then already in the form. Sellers can see what is being sought and can list a matching item straight from an ad; the searcher is notified. Your own ads are under “My eGun → My wanted ads”. Phone numbers, e-mail and web addresses do not belong in a wanted ad – sellers reply by listing a matching offer.

Buy

Bidding, instant purchase and – if the seller has enabled them – price offers all work directly on the item page. The gold bar on the item cards shows how far an auction has progressed; in the final hour it turns red. Use the star to add items to your watchlist.

"New member" next to a username marks members in their first month.

For running auctions the number of bids leads to the full bid list. The bid amounts only become visible there after the auction has ended.

In the bid list of an ended auction, bids that the bidding agent placed automatically on a bidder's behalf are marked “automatic (bidding agent)” (since October 2026).

"Often watched together" on item pages shows what other people interested in this item are also interested in.

If the seller has assigned their own article number, the item page shows it as “Dealer item no.”: on a computer in the top-right corner of the “Description” card, on a phone in the item facts below “Item location” (since 18 September 2026).

Under “Price proposals” you can see all ongoing negotiations - as a seller and as a bidder. If an auction ends without bids and is automatically relisted, your price proposal simply stays active. Recently lapsed proposals are shown there for two weeks together with the reason, and can be renewed with one click while the item is available again.

You can withdraw your own price proposal at any time as long as the seller has not yet accepted it. Under “Price proposals” a chain (Bidder €15.00 → You €19.00 → Your move) shows whose move it is; on desktop the time left sits as a tile at the right edge. Negotiations in which it is your turn are at the top; several proposals for the same item are grouped under that item.

Remaining time and device clock (since 10 September 2026): The remaining time on the item page follows eGun server time, not your device's clock. If your device clock is off by five seconds or more, a note under the remaining time says so. Bids are possible until the end in server time; after that the rejection names the exact end time.

Seller contact details (since 10 September 2026): for commercial sellers the item page shows, below the seller, the expandable section “Seller contact details” with company, address, telephone number and e-mail address as well as the VAT ID and register number where the seller has one – the law requires this of commercial providers. The same details appear in the purchase confirmation e-mail and under “My purchases” at “Seller address”. Traders maintain them under “My eGun → Tax details”; if something is missing, My eGun points it out.

Commercial or private (since 11 September 2026): above the bidding and buying area you can see whether the provider has declared to eGun that they act as a trader or as a private individual; the result lists carry the same marker on every item. For commercial providers the official EU notice about your legal right to goods free of defects appears there as well – at least two years from receipt, at least one year for used goods. The contracting party is the trader named in the listing, not eGun. For private providers the special rules for consumer contracts do not generally apply.

Shortened warranty period for used goods (since 11 September 2026): commercial sellers may shorten the limitation period for claims for defects on used items to one year (§ 476(2) German Civil Code). Where a listing is offered on that basis, the item page says so above the bidding area, and before bidding, buying or making a price proposal you tick a separate box; without that tick the declaration is not made. Without a statement from the seller the statutory period of two years applies. Sellers set it in the selling form under “Condition”, when editing an item, and in the bulk upload through the column gewaehrleistung_1jahr.

Commercial sellers will find all the obligations and input fields together under Legal guarantee, warranty and GARAN.

Manufacturer durability guarantee (since 11 September 2026): where the manufacturer grants a guarantee of more than two years for an item, the item page shows it above the bidding area as an expandable entry with manufacturer, model and duration, and again in short form immediately before a bid, a direct purchase or a price proposal, as the law requires for this information. The guarantee comes from the manufacturer and applies in addition to your statutory rights. Commercial sellers enter it under “Legal notices” in the selling and editing forms and confirm that it is free of charge, covers the whole item and runs for more than two years; the bulk upload has its own columns for it. If a statement is wrong, report the item through “Report violation” with the reason “Incorrect statement about the manufacturer guarantee”.

Sell

When listing, the form shows under the duration on which day and at what time the item ends exactly. Images in the description: the editor's image button inserts an image reachable on the internet – on a computer, on a tablet and, since 21 September 2026, on a phone as well. On computer and tablet you resize it by dragging the corners. Should the editor fail to load, the phone shows "Insert image by address" below the text box as before. The preview shows your photos and the item as buyers will see it. Since 24 September 2026 you can also simply paste the picture address (an address ending in .jpg, .png, .gif or .webp) – the picture appears right away. Pasted HTML code, such as your own template, is taken over as HTML instead of text.

Margin scheme (§ 25a of the German VAT Act): commercial sellers tick “Margin scheme under § 25a” in the selling form and when editing – the price then appears without “incl. VAT” and your invoice to the buyer shows no VAT. If you sell exclusively under the margin scheme, set it once under “My eGun → Templates → Tax”; in the bulk upload the diffst column (y/n) does the same.

Scheduled listing (since 10 September 2026): “Schedule start time” is open to every seller in the sell form – free for commercial sellers, for a one-off fee of €0.50 per listing for private sellers. The tick box sits under Extra options, and you enter the date and time under “Duration & condition”. Until the start the time can be moved free of charge under “My eGun → Scheduled listings”, and “Start now” releases the listing there immediately – it is then online within a minute. The classic view does not have this function. Since 24 September 2026, business sellers, for whom scheduling is free, choose the start right under “Duration & condition”: “Now” or “Later” with date and time – the tick box among the extra options no longer applies to them. “List a similar item” takes over a start time that is still ahead; if the original has already started, only the time of day is filled in. As soon as a listing is waiting for its start, “My listings” shows it in a tab of its own.

Since 17 September 2026 the start time can be chosen to the minute; the listing goes live within a minute of the chosen time.

Choosing a category (since 23 September 2026): the category picker opens as a window of its own. On a computer you see the tree with all its levels and can open and close each subcategory individually; on a phone it takes you level by level, with a path line and “Back”. The search field at the top finds categories across all levels and shows each hit with its path. After you pick, the full path is shown in the form, for example “Grosskaliber Kurzwaffen > Sportrevolver > Sonstige”.

Price offers and gallery after the fact (since 22 September 2026): as long as your listing has no bid yet, you can still book "Allow price offers" and "Gallery item" later – in the edit form or under "My listings" via "Actions". The fee is charged once and is shown directly above the button. You can also end price offers again as long as no offer is open; the fee is not refunded.

Costs before you submit (since 30 September 2026): when a step costs something – listing, saving in the edit form, relisting, extra options under "Amend description" or "Allow price proposals" – the costs are shown directly above the button, and the button says so: "List with obligation to pay", "Save with obligation to pay", "Relist with obligation to pay" or "Allow price proposals with obligation to pay". When editing, relisting and amending the description, every fee is listed individually with the total, and no more than this total is charged: if submitting would cost more, nothing is saved and the page shows the new breakdown – only the next click books it.

“List a similar item” opens the selling form with all details and photos of an existing listing – on running, not yet started, ended and sold items and on your own item page. This creates a new listing with a new item number; the original listing stays unchanged. The original’s photos come first in the normal photo row: you can move them, remove or edit them one by one and add more photos; the first photo is the main picture. A photo that the original stored as a large picture keeps its tick at “Large picture”. Without the tick it is taken over in normal size.

You design the item description in an editor – fonts, colours, lists, tables and images by URL; the source view lets you edit the HTML directly. Since 21 September 2026 a phone offers the same range of functions, both when listing and when editing: the most common buttons in the bar, all the others behind the "⋮" menu.

The sell form shows the expected fees live, you sort images by pressing and dragging, and your input is automatically saved as a draft – an interrupted listing is not lost. Use the preview to check your item before listing. Your photos are uploaded as soon as you have chosen them – not only when you list the item. Below each preview you can see how far a photo has got; if one fails, only that one is affected, and you can try again or simply send it along with the form.

If a listing is rejected on submit, the selected photos are kept: they are stored as a draft and used when you submit again.

The preview opens your item as a full page above the form – with your photos, the seller card and the fees, exactly as buyers will see it. "Revise" takes you back to the form without any loss, "List with obligation to pay" ("List an item" for a free item) publishes directly. If you reload or leave the page with unsaved entries, the browser asks first.

My drafts

Drafts: “Save as draft” at the end of the selling form files your item with its pictures under “My drafts” – up to 50 drafts, each kept for 180 days from its last change, free of charge. “Continue editing” reopens the draft in the form, “List an item” publishes it and removes the draft. One week before a draft expires we remind you by e-mail.

Up to 20 photos per item: the first one is free; the price for each further one is shown in the sell form right below the picture picker. Buyers still using the classic view or the old eGun app see only the first six – so put your most important photos first.

Individual pictures can be listed as a "large picture" with up to 3840 × 3840 pixels (surcharge per picture).

Gallery items do not just show the first photo in lists: their thumbnail plays through up to six of the listing's pictures once as it comes into view – on a computer again for as long as the pointer rests on it; never more than one thumbnail moves at a time. Book the option when listing or relisting an item with at least two pictures; all gallery items also have their own shelf.

Under "My listings", running and ended unsold listings sit in two tabs with counts; on the phone the toolbar shows the filters as a sideways-scrolling row, with search, time range and sort below as compact pickers. Since 18 September 2026 the tile “Unsold items” in My eGun leads straight to the “Ended” tab. Under “My listings” the “With bids” chip shows only the running listings that already have a bid. The “Without bids” chip shows the counterpart – running listings nobody has bid on yet; in both lists the bid count turns green as soon as there is a bid. With many listings, the search within your own listings (title, article number or eGun number), sorting by end, listing date, title, bids or price, and the compact view with one line per listing help you find your way. Editing and deleting are possible as long as a listing has neither bids nor sales; after that only the description can be extended – as in the classic view. “Amend description” opens a page of its own with the same editor as when listing an item: your amendment may contain formatting and pictures – you insert a picture by its address. It appears below the existing description, with date and time. Photos when listing and editing (since 10 September 2026): photos are shrunk in the browser to at most 3840 pixels before upload, so a phone photo uploads in seconds. When editing a listing without bids you add several photos one after another, with preview and remove button, up to 20 per item – as in the classic view, photos beyond the number already paid for cost the photo fee, while swapping one stays free; on the item page “Edit listing” leads straight there. If a photo could not be taken over, the message after saving names file and reason. While uploading, “List item” is locked, and a second item with the same title within 15 minutes is confirmed before listing. Since 2 October 2026 you can hide the view counter in the new view too – when listing and when editing, as long as the listing has no bid and no sale yet (“Hide the view counter” under “Duration & condition”). Then only you can see how often your listing has been viewed. The same tools – status chips, search, sorting and the compact view – are also available under “My bids”, “My purchases” and “My sales”. Since 2 October 2026, “My listings” and “My purchases” keep your place after an action: hiding, deleting and notes take effect at once without reloading the page; after editing, extending the duration or relisting you return to the same view – page, filters, search – at the item. In “My sales”, “Paid” and “Shipped” likewise save without the page reloading: buyer addresses, notes and ratings you have opened stay open. Under “My bids”, every row has shown the current price, your maximum bid and – if you have been outbid – the amount your next bid has to reach since 21 September 2026. On the phone only the status used to be shown there. Under “Ended” you find the auctions from the last seven days that you bid on: won – with “View purchase” – or not won. If you are leading, raise your maximum with “Raise maximum”. Since 19 September 2026, on a phone “My sales”, “My purchases” and “My listings” show only the next step per row: for sales the track Paid → Shipped → Rate, for purchases Shipping → Rate, for listings the most important button. All other actions open via “⋯” as a sheet at the bottom of the screen; the toolbar fits on one line, with the view switch beside it.

The data export in “Meine Verkäufe” delivers the sales of the selected period with buyer data as CSV (for Excel or tools), XLSX or JSON – for inventory management, shipping and accounting. Every sale has a printable worksheet with the item, the buyer address, payment and shipping status, and fields for age verification, permit (EWB), weight and tracking number. “Print addresses” next to the data export – on a phone the printer icon next to the heading – shows the addresses of all buyers in your current selection on one page: one block per buyer with their items, to cut out or copy. For example, choose “Paid, not shipped” first. Sales and purchases with an open reminder, an open revocation or a runner-up offer stay in the list regardless of the selected period.

Sales, purchases and ended listings remain visible for 732 days. Until 10/09/2026 they were deleted after 90 days, so the history starts on 12/06/2026 at the earliest and has been growing day by day since. The period selection only offers periods that are fully available.

In “My sales” every buyer row shows both ratings: what the buyer gave you and what you gave the buyer. If your side is still open you rate directly in the row; the chip “Buyer not rated” filters all open ratings.

You relist unsold ended items under “My listings → Ended” with “Relist” – you choose the start, the duration and the paid options again, and since 4 October 2026 you can also change the price (starting bid, buy-now price, for business sellers the base price); the insertion fee depends on the new price. If you want to change more, such as the title, description or photos, use “List a similar item”, which opens the prefilled selling form. When relisting a buy-now listing you also set the quantity again; it is prefilled with the previous one. There you also choose, as when listing, whether the item is relisted automatically up to three times if it ends without a bid – with no new listing fee; booked options and picture fees are charged again. Since 24 September 2026, “Relist” is also right on the item page of a listing that ended without a sale; afterwards you are back on the item page, and the item runs with the same item number. Since 26 September 2026 you also plan the start when relisting – one by one as well as with “Relist marked items”: business sellers choose “Now” or “Later” with date and time, private sellers tick “Schedule start time” (fee as in the selling form). Until the start, the item waits with the same item number under “Scheduled listings”.

Partly sold listings (since 28 September 2026): if a listing with several pieces ends after part of them sold, it also appears under “My listings → Ended” – marked “partly sold” with the remaining quantity. “Sell the remaining pieces” opens the sell form with all details and that quantity. “Hide” takes the listing off the list; with “Show hidden listings” below the list you bring it back via “Show again”.

Under "Meine Angebote" the tab "Both" shows running and ended listings one below the other – for comparing without switching. As long as there is no bid, you can also change the description completely in the edit form – likewise for listings that have not started yet. The category stays preselected.

Relist marked items (since 10 September 2026): Under “My listings → Ended” you mark any number of unsold items and choose “Relist marked items”. On the confirmation page you set one duration and the options for all of them and see the fee per item and the total before listing; items with bids or sales are skipped.

Shipping template (since 10 September 2026): Under “My eGun → Sell → Templates” you save shipping method, flat rate, shipping table and international shipping once. The selling form is then prefilled (note “Shipping taken from your shipping template”), when editing an item “Apply shipping template” transfers it to that item, and for commercial sellers the bulk upload uses the template for rows without shipping columns. When listing, the tick “Save these shipping details as my shipping template” stores the current details as the template.

After the purchase

After a purchase you will find the deal under "My purchases" or "My sales" – with your trading partner's address, all automatic e-mails about the deal and space for a note of your own.

Afterwards buyer and seller rate each other: pending ratings await you under "My feedback", and you can reply to received ratings on your member page. Under "System notifications" in "My eGun", only pending ratings for deals from the last 30 days are counted; older ones stay open under "My feedback" and can still be given there.

Since 17 September 2026 you can submit several open ratings in one step: choose positive, neutral or negative per line – “all positive” sets them all at once –, add a comment if you like and press “Save ratings” at the bottom. Lines without a choice stay open. Every row names the transaction it is about: photo, item, end, price and quantity, as well as your role – buyer or seller. You reply to received feedback together under “My feedback” → “Reply to feedback”: one field per rating without a reply and one button to save; for positive ratings, one reply can be inserted into all empty fields.

If your trading partner does not get in touch, you can send them a reminder after three days via "Remind seller" or "Remind buyer"; from ten days on, buyers can also send a reminder about shipping. If a buyer does not react to the reminder for seven days, the seller can cancel the purchase or, for auctions, offer the item to the next bidder – the buyer then automatically receives a negative rating, and their account is suspended. If the eGun team has closed a reminder, the purchase shows “Reminder closed by the eGun team” – a new reminder for this purchase is then not possible (since October 2026).

You accept or decline a runner-up offer under "Runner-up offers" in My eGun. If you want to revoke a purchase, request this directly on the purchase in question – the seller decides under "Revocation requests". Without logging in, you can reach the revocation via “Revoke a purchase” in the footer – you need the item number, your name and your e-mail address.

Messages

Under "Nachrichten" in Mein eGun you find your conversations from the contact form. Reply in the app or simply by e-mail – both end up in the same conversation, and the other person also receives every message by e-mail. The overview shows the feedback score and item status for every conversation, with read receipts, filters and search; new messages appear automatically. Replies by e-mail are only recognised when sent from the e-mail address of your eGun account. Messages can include file attachments (PDF, JPG, PNG, GIF; up to 5 files, 10 MB in total) – including as attachments of an e-mail reply. Images are resized automatically, and attachments are removed from the conversation after 12 months.

The e-mail notification for a new message shows the link to the full conversation at the top and quotes the last three messages.

Forum

In the forum you can discuss expert and subject-related topics with other members – posts are organised into categories, one of which is reserved for commercial sellers. Item numbers in posts are automatically linked to the item; the forum rules can be found directly below the input field.

Archive and trash (since 20 September 2026): “Archive” moves a conversation out of the inbox into the “Archive” tab, “Hide” puts it in the trash for 30 days – after that it is no longer shown to you; your counterpart keeps it in any case. A new message always brings a conversation back to the inbox. Conversations about ended items move to the archive by themselves after 60 quiet days (can be switched off in the settings under “Nachrichten”). With “Select” you handle several conversations at once. Conversations are permanently deleted three years after the last message – for both sides, including attachments; attached files are already unavailable after twelve months.

Messages in another language are shown to you translated automatically – "Show original" reveals the original text, which stays binding. In the settings under "Messages" you switch automatic translation off and then translate single messages with "Translate". Translation runs on eGun's own servers.

Notifications

In the settings you can enable push notifications – for example when you are outbid, when you sell, for price offers, or when a watched item is ending soon. On iPhone/iPad the app must first be installed and opened from the home screen. Use “Send a test notification to this device” in the settings to check whether notifications actually arrive on the device.

eGun will also offer to turn them on directly – for example after you place a bid or add an item to your watchlist. You can dismiss the prompt at any time and enable notifications later in the settings.

Important messages from the eGun team also appear as a system message directly on your overview page.

You can also follow sellers: use the "Follow seller" button on a seller's page to be notified whenever that seller lists a new item. You can find an overview of the sellers you follow in "My eGun" under "Followed sellers".

Tax details

The Platform Tax Transparency Act requires us to report sellers with at least 30 sales or €2,000 in consideration per calendar year (the sale price plus the shipping paid by the buyer, net of our fees) to the Federal Central Tax Office. For this we need your tax identification number – you can enter it under “Tax details” in My eGun. What counts is the consideration: the sale price plus the shipping paid by the buyer, net of our fees. The report does not create any additional tax for you; the data serves the tax authorities for verification. Affected sellers are informed by us by e-mail. Which details we report for a completed year – name, address, date of birth, tax identification number and, per quarter, the number of sales, the consideration and our fees – is shown since October 2026 under “My eGun” → “Seller statistics” in the section “Your details for the PStTG report”. The yearly email points you there but, for data protection reasons, no longer contains the details itself.

If a business identification number has been issued to you, please provide that one. It consists of your VAT identification number plus a five-digit suffix, e. g. DE123456789-00001. Anyone who held a VAT identification number on 30 November 2024 received the Wirtschafts-Identifikationsnummer automatically by public announcement in the Federal Tax Gazette – there is no separate letter. It is the VAT ID with the suffix -00001.

If a seller account reaches the reporting threshold without tax details on file, eGun asks for them, sends three reminders and grants the statutory 60-day period. Only after that is the selling function temporarily blocked (Section 23 PStTG): no new listings, no relisting, no change of duration; listings without bids are ended, auctions with bids run until their normal end. The block also applies to further accounts of the same person and ends as soon as the details are on file. Buying and all other functions always remain available. Commercial accounts provide their tax number at registration. Existing commercial accounts without a tax number on file are reminded by a notice in the app; the notice can be hidden for 24 hours.

Account and security

Logging out: open the menu ☰ at the top right (on a computer: your name) – "Log out" sits at the very bottom and always stays visible. On "My eGun" you will also find "Log out" as a tile in the "Account" section.

If our e-mails to your address repeatedly fail to arrive, we will ask you at your next login to confirm the address or enter a new one. Until then we do not send notifications.

Every e-mail from eGun ends with the imprint, the privacy notice and a phishing reminder: if you are unsure whether an e-mail is genuine, open eGun directly in your browser instead of via a link in the e-mail. eGun never asks for your password by e-mail.

You can switch off the daily status report and the birthday greeting in the settings under "E-mail notifications" – or, without logging in, via the "Unsubscribe" link at the end of the respective e-mail.

Under "Mein Konto" you manage your address, e-mail, two-factor authentication and passkeys – with a passkey you sign in without a password. Choose the app language via the flag at the top; e-mails from eGun then also arrive in your language. After a longer period of inactivity, a security code sent by e-mail protects the login. Forgotten your password: choose “Forgotten your password?” on the login page and enter your e-mail address and your date of birth – if both match your account, we will send you a link by e-mail to reset it.

Language (since 22 September 2026): in the settings under "Language" you decide which language eGun speaks to you in – in e-mails and push notifications too. If you have never chosen, our e-mails follow the country of your account. The foot of every e-mail says which language it was sent in and carries a "Change language" link. Since 7 October 2026 the flag at the top of the page changes only the display on this device, not your account. Afterwards a notice with “Zurück zu Deutsch” (back to German) stays at the top until you close it; when signed in, “Use it for my e-mails too” there makes the new language the one for your whole account. A language changed in the settings is taken over by your other devices the next time you sign in. A device on which you have not chosen a language yourself shows your account’s language as soon as you are signed in there.

Under “Recent devices” you can see which devices last accessed your account – a quick way to spot unauthorised access.

Suspended account (since 29 September 2026): Even with a suspended account you can sign in, view your invoices, purchases, sales and messages, complete open purchases and sales and change your details – except your address, phone number and e-mail address. Bidding, buying, selling and writing messages are blocked. The notice at the top of every page gives the reason; our customer service answers questions by e-mail – the address is in the notice and under “Contact”.

Account not yet activated (since October 2026): you can have the activation code from your registration confirmation sent again to your e-mail address on file – on the “Activate account” page and when signing in, via “Send the code again”. If you reset your password via “Forgotten your password?” and the link in the e-mail instead, an account that is only waiting to be activated is activated at the same time.

For sellers

"Mein eGun" bundles your sales: open price offers, revocation requests, runner-up offers, seller statistics and account statement. Commercial sellers create invoices and delivery notes under "Meine Kunden".

When you mark a sale as shipped, you can enter the tracking number and carrier – the buyer is informed about the shipment automatically and can track the parcel directly.

In the settings you can store a signature – it is appended to the automatic e-mails about your sales.

Commercial sellers can list many items at once via the bulk upload: upload a CSV file with images (via URL or ZIP), review, confirm the fees.

Dealer interface (API, since 20 September 2026): Business accounts create keys with their own permissions under “Mein eGun → API access”. With them your inventory or shop system can create, change, end and relist listings, calculate fees in advance free of charge (dry run), import CSV files as in the bulk upload and fetch your sales with buyer and shipping data – as JSON, CSV or Excel. Categories with mandatory statements (deactivated weapons, pyrotechnics, PTB) can be listed through the interface as well. The technical description (OpenAPI) is at www.egun.de/api/v1/openapi.yaml; every key shows its last use and can be revoked at any time. Since 20 September 2026 the interface can also mark sales as paid or shipped – with carrier and tracking number; the buyer is notified exactly as with the click in “Meine Verkäufe”.

Feed sync and webhooks (since 20 September 2026): Instead of maintaining every listing individually through the interface, business accounts store the address of their product feed under “Mein eGun → API access → Feed sync” (Google Shopping feed as XML or TSV, or a CSV file as in the bulk upload). eGun fetches the feed every 1 to 24 hours: new article numbers are listed, changed prices and stock levels applied, items that vanished from the feed ended on request – but never listings with bids or sales. A free dry run shows beforehand what would happen, including a fee estimate; if the feed suddenly shrinks by more than half, nothing happens without your confirmation. Under “Webhooks” you store up to five https addresses that eGun calls on sales, auction ends without a sale, price proposals and messages (signed, retried on failure); the same events can also be polled through the interface.

Via “My blocklist” you exclude individual members from your own items – anyone listed there can neither bid nor buy with you. Open price proposals from members on your list can only be rejected.

Seller statistics (since 10 September 2026): The turnover statistics show per month items sold, sales, shipping costs, total fees and proceeds after fees – for 12, 36, 60 or 120 months like the previous sales statistics. Below them are your figures under the Platform Tax Transparency Act (PStTG) for this year and last year: per quarter count, sales proceeds, shipping costs, fees on sales and consideration, whether the reporting threshold has been reached. The two fee columns count differently: above, all fees of a month; below, only the fees of the items that sold.

Invoices to buyers (buyer list, since 10 September 2026): the buyer list shows ordered, not yet invoiced and open amounts per buyer. “Create invoice” opens the invoice sheet: insert sales as lines with “Take over”, add your own lines such as postage, edit recipient, texts and footers right on the sheet – “Preview (PDF)” shows the finished document before saving. Every invoice has its own page with PDF, paid marker, manual lines and delivery notes. Since 1 October 2026, invoices and delivery notes as PDF fit window envelopes (e.g. DL, layout according to DIN 5008): the buyer’s address sits in the window with your sender line above it, and fold marks on the left edge show where to fold.

Selling is faster (since 10 September 2026): a new listing takes category, second category, payment methods and shipping from your last listing, and below the category field your most recently used categories appear as quick picks. For running listings you change the duration directly in the row (“Extend duration”), with the exact end next to it. Ended listings without a sale can be deleted individually or in bulk.

You will find a member's items in the search under “Items of a member” – or type “@” and the user name into the search field; the suggestion list shows matching members, one click through to their listings.

You will find your eGun fee invoices in the account statement in "My eGun" – as e-invoices in ZUGFeRD format (PDF with machine-readable invoice data). As soon as a new invoice is ready, we notify you by e-mail. We show the booking texts in the account statement in the language you have set; the invoice PDF stays in German.
