The Leupold Patrol 6HD 1-6x24 30 mm CDS-ZL2 iR CM-R2 is a universal rifle scope that can be successfully used by hunters for driven hunts, sport shooters in dynamic competitions, and enthusiasts of tactical defense shooting.

One of the most important advantages of the Leupold Patrol scopes is their low weight. The weight of the 273 mm long rifle scope is only 380 g, making it one of the lightest in the group of scopes with this optics. The scope features an aluminum tube (6061-T6) with a diameter of 30 mm, which, unlike the inch version, offers a significantly larger adjustment range for the reticle settings of 170 MOA vertically and horizontally. On the eyepiece, there is a ring with an enlarged whisker for quick and convenient magnification change in the 1-6x range.

The barrel of the scope is filled with a patented gas mixture (argon and krypton) that eliminates the effects of thermal shocks, reduces the diffusion of gases within the scope, and completely eliminates the problem of evaporation inside the lens. The used impregnation technology guarantees 100% weather resistance. The scope was subjected to strict tests on the Punisher simulation machine, where the scopes underwent 5,000 recoil endurance tests. The machine generates impacts with an energy that is three times greater than the recoil of a .308 rifle, so the scope can be safely used for sport and hunting weapons.

The American manufacturer Leupold places particular emphasis on image quality and brightness. The optical system uses high-quality lenses and the Twilight Light Max Management System, which ensures high light transmission and reduces stray light.

The visible image is bright and sharp from edge to edge, as well as deep, allowing the scope to be used for hunting in morning and evening light (adds about 30 minutes of light). Premium lenses increase light transmission in blue and red and balance colors to maximize contrast. Through special mechanical structures and blackened lens edges, glare is balanced. The outer surfaces of the lenses are coated with a durable Guard-Ion coating that protects the optics from scratches and reduces the accumulation of water, dust, and fingerprints.

The illuminated reticle, optimal magnification, and large field of view (from 40.3 to 6.4 m / 100 m) make this rifle scope ideal for group hunting and the 3-gun shooting competition.

The CM-R2 reticle is designed for instinctive and dynamic shooting in close range, where a lower magnification is sufficient. Compared to other target crosshairs, the CM-R2 reticle allows the shooter to estimate the distance to the target and shoot with greater flexibility. The CM-R2 reticle consists of a bold crosshair with an open top and a central 0.5-MOA dot surrounded by a 5.0-MOA circle. With its open top and illuminated aiming point, the reticle offers a great combination of precision and speed. The clear markings on the horizontal bars can be used to guide targets moving at speeds of 5, 10, or 15 miles per hour. This unique combination of features allows the scope to be used for shooting outdoors, in the woods, and on the IPSC course.

The illuminated reticle (circle and dot) automatically shifts the shooter's sight to the center of the reticle, enabling quick and instinctive target acquisition. The illumination settings (7 levels) are adjusted via the side-mounted push button. The first three settings are designed for use in low-light conditions, while the others are for daylight use. The adjustment range allows for comfortable operation regardless of lighting conditions and time of day.

The rifle scope features a practical Pop-Up Rezero zero-adjustment system (via button press), which prevents accidental changes to the settings and allows an immediate return to the original settings without the need for additional tools. By using the System Zero Lock, the possibility of accidental changes to the height settings is excluded while enabling a quick and precise return to the zero point. The turrets are adjustable in 1/4 MOA increments. The reticle adjustment range is 170 MOA vertically and horizontally.

CDS-System
The rifle scope utilizes an innovative CDS (Custom Dial System), allowing the shooter to adjust the barrel's elevation parameters to the distance and ballistics of specific ammunition. The CDS-ZL2 is a flat adjustment turret that prevents accidental changes to the settings. The Zero Lock locking system enables easy resetting of the settings at the push of a button. Once the CDS is properly configured, after just one short training session, we can shoot accurately and reproducibly at long distances without the need for a height adjustment (changing the point of aim).
