TRIBUTE TO LEGENDS – CZ 75 & COLT 1911

Exclusive Collector’s Set – No. 037

We are offering an exceptional and highly collectible “Tribute to Legends” set featuring two of the most iconic pistols in firearms history: the Colt 1911 and the CZ 75.

This exclusive edition was created to celebrate the joining of two world-renowned firearms manufacturers – Colt of the United States and Česká zbrojovka of the Czech Republic. Following the acquisition of the legendary Colt brand in May 2021, the two historic manufacturers became part of Colt CZ Group.

For the Tribute to Legends edition, one iconic model was selected to represent each manufacturer: the legendary American Colt 1911 and the equally famous Czech CZ 75.

The Colt 1911 is regarded as one of the finest and most influential single-action, single-stack large-calibre pistols ever designed. Introduced 64 years later, the CZ 75 became one of the original “Wonder Nine” pistols – combining the 9 mm Luger cartridge, a double-action trigger mechanism and a high-capacity magazine – and remains one of the world's most successful pistol designs.

Hand-Engraved Collector’s Edition

Both pistols were individually decorated by renowned engraver René Ondra, whose craftsmanship transforms standard production firearms into unique works of art.

The Colt 1911 and CZ 75 received matching modifications and decoration based on a common artistic design.

The frames and slides feature a high-polish blued finish, complemented by elegant grips manufactured from white maple wood.

Extensive precision hand engraving covers the slides and frames and, on the CZ 75, also the magazine floorplates. The engraving features elaborate ornamental scrollwork and exceptionally fine shading. René Ondra even produced a special engraving tool specifically for the execution of this edition.

The Tribute to Legends edition was assigned its own dedicated serial-number ranges beginning with COLT2021001 for the Colt and CZ2021001 for the CZ.

Collector’s Presentation Case

Both pistols are presented together in a magnificent oversized double presentation case manufactured from a combination of maple wood and birch burl and lined with blue micro-velvet.

The lid features the Colt and CZ logos, while the inside of the lid contains specially designed presentation panels commemorating the long traditions and histories of both manufacturers.

Each Tribute to Legends set was supplied with its Certificate of Authenticity and warranty documentation.
