The Arex AKB-15 is an extremely rare semi-automatic rifle manufactured by the Slovenian company Arex Defense. It combines the legendary, virtually indestructible reliability of the Kalashnikov system (AK-47) with the ergonomics and modularity of modern 21st-century assault rifles, such as the FN SCAR and Bushmaster ACR.

The rifle was originally designed as an advanced modernisation kit (upgrade kit) for military forces, chambered in 7.62×39 mm. However, following the premature cancellation of the project, only approximately 15 civilian semi-automatic examples and 100 fully automatic military examples were produced, making the AKB-15 one of the rarest firearms on the global market.

Main Features and Advantages:

• Monolithic Aluminium Upper Receiver: A completely redesigned upper receiver architecture. The full-length Picatinny rail (MIL-STD-1913) on top allows modern optics and red dot sights to be securely mounted while maintaining zero – addressing one of the biggest weaknesses of traditional AK-pattern rifles.

• Modern Ergonomics and Stock: The rifle features a folding, length-adjustable telescopic stock, allowing it to be adapted to the shooter's preferences and making transportation easier. The charging handle has been relocated to the front and can be mounted on either the left or right side, allowing ambidextrous operation.

• Reliable Operating System: The rifle retains the proven long-stroke gas piston operating system. This ensures reliable operation under the harshest conditions and allows the use of standard, affordable AK-47 magazines.

• Slovenian Engineering: Manufactured with exceptional precision and premium materials in Šentjernej, Slovenia, giving the rifle its distinctive robustness and outstanding durability.
